Sean O'Farrell of Rancho Cucamonga was arrested for contacting a minor to commit a sexual offense at a public library

LOCATION: Rancho Cucamonga Library, 7368 Archibald, Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT: Sean O’Farrell 40 years old from Rancho Cucamonga and Solana Beach
On August 18, 2015, at approximately 5:00pm, Sean O'Farrell contacted the 15 year old male victim inside the Rancho Cucamonga Library second floor bathroom. O’Farrell asked the victim his age and was told he was 15. He asked the victim some sexual questions and then offered to pay the victim for a sexual act. The victim refused and walked away. O'Farrell, followed the victim out of the restroom to several different areas in the Library. The victim became afraid and contacted a Library staff member who immediately contacted Rancho Cucamonga Police Department.
When Deputies arrived they contacted O’Farrell inside the library and detained him. He was interviewed, arrested, and booked into West Valley Detention Center for the above listed charges. O’Farrell was found to be in possession of several different library cards and is suspected of committing similar crimes in other jurisdictions.
