Full Notification

The following crimes were reported in Zone 2- Castaic/Val Verde:

An arson was reported from the 31000 block of Castaic Road.  A late model Ford caught fire while parked at the location.  The Fire Department extinguished the fire and noticed evidence of possible arson.  Responding deputies notified the Arson/Explosive unit for further investigation.

A petty theft was reported from the 31000 block of Castaic Road.  The victim reported his red “Spitfire” medical scooter was stolen from the parking lot of his workplace. The scooter was stolen on 08/12/15 between the hours of 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 pm.      

Please remember to never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle. Close and lock your doors. Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity.  If you see any suspicious activity, call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
