August 8, 2015,Deputies and investigators respond to blood covered man on Interstate 65. UPDATE August 10, 2015

On August 8, 2015, Giles County Sheriff’s Department was notified that a passerby on Interstate 65 was out with a male subject covered in blood. Male subject stated that he had been victim of robbery and tossed out of a vehicle on Interstate 65. The male victim was identified as Brandon Lovell of Lynnville, Tennessee. Mr. Lovell was transported to Southern Tennessee Regional Hospital. Mr. Lovell stated that he had met three individuals at a local establishment. Mr. Lovell then went to Huntsville, Alabama with the three male subjects. The four of them left Alabama and began to travel on Interstate 65 North. Once back in Tennessee Mr. Lovell advised the three male subjects that they had passed the location of his vehicle. One of the male subjects then advised Mr. Lovell that he wanted his wallet. Mr. Lovell refused the commands and then was assaulted. The male subject then advised Mr. Lovell that he was going to kill him. Mr. Lovell once again refused the commands. The male subject then advised Mr. Lovell that he was going to cut his throat if he did not give them his cell phone. Mr. Lovell gave them his cell phone and was tossed out of the vehicle to succumb to his injuries.
Lieutenant Hunter was notified of the situation and proceeded to Southern Regional Hospital and spoke with Mr. Lovell. Lieutenant Hunter proceeded to Columbia where he located the vehicle in question. The vehicle was identified to belong to Jim Tucker who owns Jim's Garage Door. The vehicle was located on General Lee Drive Culleoka, Tennessee. The vehicle was towed to Giles County Sheriff’s Department and processed.
During the course of the investigation it was determined that the three male subjects were identified as Mark Clint Edward Dugger age 50 of Columbia, Tennessee, Marshall Wade Cothron age 58 of Columbia, Tennessee and Jeremy Joe Cothron age 32 of Columbia, Tennessee. Mark Clint Edward was located and arrested for Criminal Responsibility for attempted first degree murder, criminal responsibility for especially aggravated robbery, and criminal responsibility for aggravated assault. Mark Clint Edward Dugger is being held in Giles County Jail on $1,010, 000 bond and is to appear in court on August 18, 2015. Warrants have been obtained for Marshall Wade Cothron for Criminal Responsibility for attempted first degree murder, criminal responsibility for especially aggravated robbery, and criminal responsibility for aggravated assault. Warrants have been obtained for Jeremy Joe Cothron for attempted first degree murder, especially aggravated robbery, and aggravated assault.

UPDATE: August 10, 2015 Marshall Wade Cothron was arrested in Maury County, Tennessee and is at the Giles County Jail with bail set at $1,010,000.
