*Update* #LASD Homicide Detectives Investigate Shooting Death of a Man, 2300 Blk East 1st St, Los Angeles 
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man that occurred in the 2300 block of East 1st Street, Los Angeles, on Saturday, August 8, 2015.
Detectives have learned that the victim, a male black adult, was approached by three 20 year-old male Hispanic suspects by the street elevators of the Soto Pax train station. A verbal confrontation then occurred. One suspect produced a handgun and shot the victim numerous times. The suspects then fled westbound on 1st Street out of view.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
