S-Mata owned and operated Los Angeles Imports located at 2412 W. Whittier Blvd. in the City of Montebello. S-Mata is known to be a “Santero” (Santeria Priest) and conducted healing rituals at his business. In late 2013 S-Mata conducted three healing rituals to a 16 year old female and had her disrobe. On the last visit S-Mata forced the minor to disrobe and sexually assaulted her. S-Mata told the minor the assault was part of the healing ritual.
S-Mata has eluded police since 2013. Montebello Police Department believes there may be additional victims who may have been sexually assaulted by S-Mata. Anyone who may have been victimized or has information as to the whereabouts of S-Mata is encouraged to call Detective Alfred Martinez of the Montebello Police Department.
