ENGINEERING SECRETARY
CITY OF RIPON
Salary: $3,736 - $4,542 monthly


THE POSITION: Under the general guidance and direction of the City Engineer, or his/her designee, the Engineering Secretary performs a wide variety of administrative duties in support of the daily operations of the Engineering Department.

QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of Federal and State funded project programming and administering procedures. Knowledge of administration of construction projects. Knowledge of basic mathematical computations. Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment; filing and indexing methods; and correct English usage, spelling grammar and punctuation. Possess organizational, communication and time management skills to assist project managers and project engineers. Education and Experience: - Education equivalent to graduation from high school. Experience in a construction office is a plus. Training and/or experience with personal computers and Microsoft Software (specifically Word and Excel). Minimum three years progressively responsible clerical work involving frequent contact with the public. Other requirements. Possession of a valid California Drivers License at time of employment and live within a 35 mile radius of Ripon City Hall.
