Brigantine Police Report Traffic Alert . The Annual Brigantine Island Triathlon sponsored by the Brigantine Community Education and Recreation Department is being held. Residents of and visitors to Brigantine are advised of traffic delays along carious roads throughout the island will likely be associated with this event. Motorists driving should use caution and allow additional travel time to their destinations. Residents and visitors need to be aware that there will be bicyclists and runners on the streets. Competitors will complete a quarter-mile swim in the bay and transition to an 11-mile bike ride, finishing with a 4-mile run. USE CAUTION EXPECT DELAYS!! DRIVE SLOW!! DO ERRANDS THE NIGHT BEFORE OR WAIT TILL AFTER 2PM THE DAY OF THE EVENT. THANK YOU !!
