Air Rescue 06 perform a hoist rescue in Lake Arrowhead to rescue an injured motorcyclist

VICTIM(S): Jason Brown, 43 years old, Irvine, Ca.
SUMMARY: On July 26, 2015, the victim, Jason Brown, was riding his four-wheeled motorcycle with family in a remote area north of Lake Arrowhead. Jason was riding on a forestry road when he was thrown from the motorcycle due to the steep and uneven roadway. Jason suffered major injuries during the accident. Witnesses and family members called 911 and requested assistance.
Due to the remote location, Air Rescue 06 was requested. The crew arrived and inserted two Air Medics near the scene. Jason's injuries were confirmed to be major and it was determined he needed to be transported to a trauma center. The crew was unable to land nearby and a hoist rescue performed. Jason was hoisted into the helicopter and flown to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment.
