NARRATIVE:               

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lakewood Station traffic detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal hit and run collision that occurred on Saturday, July 25, 2015, in the area of Lakewood Boulevard and Los Angeles Street, Bellflower.

Detectives have learned that the victim, a 30 year-old female black adult, was crossing the street westbound when a dark colored Nissan struck her. The driver failed to remain at the scene of the collision and fled southbound on Lakewood Blvd and out of view.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The vehicle is described as a dark colored Nissan with substantial collision damage to the front bumper and windshield.
