Narrative:
Information on marijuana sales to juveniles led to the arrests of Brandt Locey and Stephen Gaiser of Camarillo for possession of marijuana for sale, furnishing marijuana to a minor, manufacturing concentrated cannabis, transportation of marijuana, cultivating marijuana and for possession of a billy club.

During this investigation, detectives received information that Brandt Locey was selling marijuana to minors in Camarillo. Detectives obtained a search warrant for Locey and his residence, located on Dewayne Avenue in Camarillo.

On July 22nd, 2015, detectives with the Camarillo Special Enforcement Detail, Sheriff’s Narcotics Bureau – West County Street Team and the Oxnard Police Department conducted a surveillance of Locey. They followed Locey and watched as he sold marijuana to a juvenile. After the sale, detectives contacted the juvenile and seized a small amount of marijuana. They also conducted a traffic stop on Locey and arrested him for the sale of marijuana to a juvenile. Upon searching Locey’s vehicle, detectives seized five ounces of marijuana, packaging material, a scale and cash.

Detectives followed up with a search warrant at Locey’s residence and while there, they located an active marijuana cultivation operation inside a detached storage shed on the property. The cultivation consisted of a sophisticated growing system that included forty marijuana plants in various stages of growth. Detectives also found over five pounds of marijuana, paraphernalia used in the manufacture of concentrated cannabis and a significant amount of cash inside the home.

Locey was arrested and booked at the Main Jail for furnishing marijuana to a minor, possession of marijuana for sale, transportation of marijuana, cultivating marijuana and manufacturing concentrated cannabis. His bail was set at $150,000. Gaiser was arrested and booked at the Main Jail for cultivating marijuana and for possession of a billy club. His bail was set at $10,000.
