Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews are working to repair a valve on a 12-inch main on Kuhio Ave. at Kalaimoku St that broke shortly after 12:30 AM this morning. Special duty officers will be helping to redirect traffic on Kuhio Ave., as repair work has forced the closure of both west-bound lanes of traffic. Motorists are urged to please use alternate routes if possible and exercise caution while driving through the area.
Crews are also working to set up a water bypass and a water wagon on Kalaimoku St. for the eight customers who will be without water service during the repair, which is expected to last throughout the day.
