The bridge located along North Cornerstone Church Road in northern Lincoln County is closed until further notice. The Sheriff’s Office has received several complaints of ATVs bypassing the concrete barricades, and persons moving or removing posted signage and crossing the bridge. In some cases, the reflective signage may not be present; however, the bridge’s concrete barriers continue to block the bridge from both north and south access.
Engineers have deemed the bridge extremely unsafe at this time and should not be crossed for any reasons.
In the event the reflective signage is remove the bridge will remain closed. Residence will be notified by the Lincoln County Highway Department when it reopens.
