Prospect Avenue Improvement Update
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING PROSPECT AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS
The Municipality of Princeton has contracted with S. Brothers Construction to construct roadway, sidewalk, curbing and drainage improvements on Prospect Avenue between Harrison Street and Riverside Drive West. More information is available regarding this project at:
http://www.princetonnj.gov/engineering/Hamilton_Prospect/Prospect_main.html.
Beginning on Monday, July 20, 2015, weather permitting, S. Brothers Construction will be starting the improvement work that is expected to be completed in late August. In order to accommodate this work, Prospect Avenue will be closed to through traffic from Harrison Street to Riverside Drive West during the work hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekdays. On-street parking may also be suspended during work hours to permit safe movement of construction equipment and residential traffic. The road work closure is expected to be in effect for four weeks, weekdays only, weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, work will proceed the following business day.
Residents are advised to use caution when driving within the road closure area and allow additional time for travel. There may be times when access to your driveway will be closed; we will endeavor to provide 24-hour notice when this will occur. During construction, Prospect Avenue through traffic will be detoured onto Sycamore Road.
Provisions will be made for emergency services vehicles and for continued services such as brush collection, mail delivery, garbage and recycling pick-up. The road will be reopened to full two-way traffic and parking at the end of each work day.
