Narrative:
On July 16, 2015, at about 1:03 p.m., a neighbor in the area of the 400 block of Alosta Drive called 9-1-1 to report hearing a physical and verbal disturbance coming from inside a residence nearby. A short time later, the same neighbor reported hearing what they believed to be a gunshot. Camarillo deputies assigned to the unincorporated area arrived on scene and found the male subject inside the residence suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
The male subject was transported to Los Robles Hospital in serious condition and later died of his injuries. The female party was transported to Pleasant Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and later released. The Major Crimes Unit investigated the incident and determined the man’s death was the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound following a domestic argument.
