The Brigantine Police Department will be hosting our first Annual National Night Out on Tuesday August 4th 2015 from 6p.m. until 9 p.m. The event will take place at the 25th Street ball field. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. National Night Out will include various displays that allow the community to interact with numerous organizations that will be in attendance. Attractions on display will include: a helicopter (that will land before the event), Trucks and Boats from various local, state and federal organizations. Atlantic County SWAT with a display as well as the Brigantine Fire Department, Beach Patrol and Police Department. The Chamber of Commerce has donated an outside movie and there will be free food and games, including a dunk tank. The Island’s Veteran’s Organizations will present a lesson on flag etiquette. The Atlantic City Jitney Association will run free shuttles from the municipal lots on 16th street and 34th street to the event. There will be plenty of educational safety materials handed out. All ages are welcome to come and join your community and public safety departments for a night out.
