14 year-old female scares away day time burglar in her Loma Linda home. No injuries; no property taken.

DATE/TIME: July 7, 2015/11:57am

INCIDENT: Residential Burglary

LOCATION: 11000 Block of Vollmer Dr., Loma Linda

SUSPECT: Unknown Black Male Adult, mid 20’s, 6’1”, thin, wearing dark clothing.

VICTIM: Confidential – 14 year old female

SUMMARY:

On July 7, 2015 at about 11:57am, Loma Linda Deputies responded to the 11000 Block of Vollmer Dr. in response to a report of a Residential Burglary in progress. Upon arrival, deputies were met by the 14 year old female victim/resident. The victim told deputies that the suspect had entered the victim’s home through an unsecured pedestrian door at the rear of the garage. Once in the garage, the suspect entered the kitchen of the residence through the door attaching the garage to the interior of the residence. Upon entering the kitchen, the suspect was met by the unsuspecting 14 year old victim. The suspect immediately turned and fled from the residence on foot. The victim immediately called her parents in a state of panic and her parents called law enforcement.

Deputies arrived on scene within minutes of receiving the call and conducted an extensive area check for the suspect, however he was not located. During the investigation, deputies learned that a suspicious vehicle was seen in the area just prior to the burglary. The vehicle was described as a 1990’s, Honda Civic or Accord, dark in color and possibly having front hood damage.

Deputies are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect and anyone with information related to this investigation are asked to contact Investigators at Sheriff’s Central Station.
