Last week, the below subject placed multiple ads on Craigslist selling a Toyota Camry and used minimal information with generic photos. The victim and the suspect agreed to meet in a shopping mall parking lot in Daly City. The subject produced a high quality, but fraudulent, California driver's license and certificate of the title. The victim paid the subject a substantial amount of cash, and the subject handed the victim the keys to the car. The subject lured the victim away from the vehicle and into a nearby store, saying his father works at a nearby store and wanted to check the paperwork before the transaction was final. Once inside the store, the subject made the victim wait while he met his “father” in the employees-only area. The subject then ran back to the Camry and drove away. The victim said the subject was described as a white male, 5’-10”, large build, facial hair that extends from the sideburns, past both cheeks and to the chin. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black sweat pants, black sweater and a black cap.
