Vehicle burglars caught near the 1700 block of Stanford Ave with alleged stolen property in their possession
This morning, July 7, 2015 around 3AM, a Menlo Park resident in the 1700 block of Stanford Avenue called in a report that three subjects were allegedly ransacking his vehicle. The subjects left the scene while officers responded to the area. Officers located three subjects matching the description near the intersection of Lemon and Santa Cruz Avenue.
During a consensual search of their persons, alleged stolen property from the reporting resident was located. Officers found property which was determined to have been allegedly stolen from a second address. A consensual search of the subject’s vehicle (parked several blocks away) had a stolen wallet and an IPad from another nearby address. The victim of this property was unaware of the theft until officers contacted them. While in the area, officers located another vehicle that was ransacked.
A 17 year old female was booked into Hillcrest for burglary, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy. Bradley Askew, 19 year old male of Santa Rosa and Sierra Martinez, 18 year old female also of Santa Rosa, were booked into the San Mateo County jail for burglary and conspiracy. Askew was also booked for possession of stolen property.
