At the Channahon Fireworks?Consider these alternate travel routes to save time and avoid the Thomas Dillon Drive (NE Frontage Road) backup.
Alternate 1:
Take Rt. 6 to Youngs Road, which turns into Amoco Road. Turn left/south on the SE Frontage Road and continue to Bluff Road.
Alternate 2:
Take Rt. 6 to Hollywood/Houbolt Road. West on I-80 to I-55 south. Exit at Rt. 6 or Bluff Road. Or, take I-80 west to Ridge Road.
The band will play another set after the fireworks display concludes, and food and beverages will be available. Relax in the park rather than sit in your car in traffic.
When you are driving home, please drive carefully, there will be many pedestrians. If you are stuck in traffic, please be patient.
