Narrative:
On June 23, 2015, Ventura County Sheriff’s Office patrol units were dispatched to St. John’s Regional Medical Center for two gunshot victims who arrived at the hospital by a private vehicle. Based on the victim’s injuries, they were both transported by ambulance to the Ventura County Medical Center for treatment.
The preliminary investigation revealed the victims were outside of a residence and were involved in a verbal argument before the shooting occurred. Victim Perez passed away from his injuries. Victim #2 remains hospitalized in stable condition.
The investigation is on-going. Detectives are seeking possible witnesses to the crime or anyone with knowledge of the crime. If anyone has information please contact Detective Marco at 805-384-4739.
