HMPD Detectives arrest man for multiple car break-ins.
In the early morning hours of January 22, 2015 Hope Mills Police Officers responded to the area of Birchfield Court in reference to a report that multiple vehicles had been broken into. Upon arrival, Officers conducted a search for the suspect but, they were unable to locate the persons responsible for the break-ins. The cases were then forwarded to the Hope Mills Police Department’s Detective Division for further investigation. During the course of their investigation, Investigators developed information that identified the suspect as Zachary Allen Nobles, of the 1900 block of Catawba Street in Fayetteville. On the afternoon of June 24, 2015, Hope Mills Police Detectives with the assistance of the Fayetteville Police Department, located Nobles at his residence and took him into custody. Nobles was transported to the Cumberland County Detention Center where he was jailed under a $30,000.00 bond for the following charges:
3 counts of Felony Breaking and Entering of a Vehicle
1 count of Felony Financial Card Theft
3 Counts of Misdemeanor Larceny
This investigation is still ongoing and more charges are likely.
