INCIDENT: PC 211 Armed Robbery

LOCATION: 18000 Block of Valley Boulevard, Bloomington

SUSPECT(S): David Mena, age 21, of Bloomington

VICTIM(S): Confidential

SUMMARY: On June 19, 2015, at approximately 2:44 p.m., deputies from the Fontana Sheriff's Station were advised of an armed robbery, which took place in the parking lot of a business near the 18000 block of Valley Boulevard. The suspect brandished a weapon and demanded the victim’s property. To avoid injury, the victim gave the suspect all the money that he had. The suspect got into a get away vehicle and fled north away from the incident location. The victim was able to give an accurate description of the suspect, gun and get away vehicle including a partial license plate. The Fontana Detective Bureau was familiar with a vehicle matching the description of the get away vehicle which was a white 1999 Honda Civic. The vehicle was located a short distance away in the 18000 block of 5th Street in Bloomington. Contact was made at the residence and the vehicle and suspect were positively identifed. A search of the residence was completed and a gun matching the description of the gun used in the robbery was located. Suspect, David Mena was booked at the West Valley Detention Center without incident. The driver and passenger of the get away vehicle are still outstanding.
