Tell a friend or neighbor about the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Alert System Nixle. Help them stay connected to the information that matters most to them. With the current fire danger we are experiencing so far this summer, having the latest information is critical.

Did you know that our emergency alert system Nixle has the ability to incorporate home phones, cell phones, email and text messages.  The Sheriff will use this system to notify you of emergency situations that can impact you and your family; such as fire evacuations, weather emergencies, missing children / adults and Law Enforcement activity in the area.

All home landline phones have been incorporated into the Nixle alert system. The Sheriff’s Office encourages everyone to create a Nixle Account online and register your cell phone and email address as well.

 You can do this several ways:

1. Text your Zip Code to 888-777

2. Visit our website at www.mariposacounty.org/sheriff click on the Nixle Icon

3. Visit  www.nixle.com/register

4. You can pick up a registration form in our office located at 5099 Old Hwy North

5. Register over the phone, you can call our office at 209-966-3615 or 1-800-774-8314 and speak  with Kristie Mitchell during  office hours Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.

If you have already signed up for Nixle by texting your zip code to 888-777, it is still important to create an online account so you can register your cell phone to your address.

Nixle also allows you to register multiple addresses. Do you have a vacation home or multiple rental homes? You can even register for alerts when things happen close to your children’s school or daycare simply by adding it on your Nixle account.
