Highland deputies arrest James Silva for Grand Theft Auto and Possession of Narcotics.

LOCATION: Church Avenue/ Baseline Street, City of Highland
SUSPECT: James Silva, 45, Highland
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11:28 a.m., deputies from the Highland Station spotted a stolen vehicle on Church Avenue/ Baseline Street in the City of Highland. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and took the driver, James Silva, into custody. Prior to stopping the vehicle, Silva threw a clear plastic baggie containing a controlled substance out the passenger side window.
Silva was arrested for grand theft auto and possession of a controlled substance. Silva was booked at Central Detention Center.
