FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Angels Camp Police Department conducted DUI Saturation Patrols on June 12th through June 14th, 2015. During that time, five arrests were made for DUI.

• Patricia Paige, 52 year old Manteca, CA resident. Arrested on 6/13/15 at approximately 9:40 PM at Hwy 4 near Angel Oaks Drive in Angels Camp. Booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for the following charges:
23152 (a) CVC – DUI
23152(b) CVC – DUI, BAC .08% or higher

• Elizabeth Boyd, 29 year old Copperopolis, CA resident. Arrested on 6/13/15 at approximately 10:20 PM at Hwy 4 near North Main Street in Angels Camp. Booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for the following charges:
23152 (a) CVC – DUI
23152(b) CVC – DUI, BAC .08% or higher

• Calbert Johnson, 60 year old Sacramento, CA resident. Arrested on 6/13/15 at approximately 11:55 PM at North Main Street near Dogtown Road in Angels Camp. Booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for the following charge:
23152(e) CVC – DUI, drug

• Kurt Sommerdyke, 57 year old El Dorado, CA resident. Arrested on 6/13/15 at approximately 11:50 PM at South Main Street near Stanislaus Avenue in Angels Camp. Booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for the following charges:
23152 (a) CVC – DUI
23152(b) CVC – DUI, BAC .08% or higher

• Christine Steele, 38 year old Hadley, CA resident. Arrested on 6/14/15 at approximately 12:10 AM at Jones Street near Scott Street in Murphys. Booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for the following charges:
23152(e) CVC – DUI, drug
11550(a) HS – Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance

The Angels Camp Police Department will be conducting future DUI Checkpoints and DUI Saturation Patrols in the upcoming months in our ongoing commitment to lowering deaths and injuries upon our streets and highways.

The saturation patrol was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
