Abbot Road Construction Project to Begin June 22 
A major street project on Abbot Road, between Burcham Drive and Saginaw Street, will begin Monday, June 22 and is slated for completion in mid August. Gas service work is currently wrapping up in the project area.
The project will mainly consist of scheduled night work, from 8 p.m.-6 a.m., in an attempt to minimize the impact on day traffic. Traffic will be maintained to the extent possible outside of scheduled construction hours. A complete closure will take place for one week in the latter part of the project, between Whitehills Drive and Saginaw Street, for the replacement of an entire cross section. The exact dates are to be determined. There will be a posted detour during all construction activities.
In other construction news, the major street project on Bogue Street will be completed this Wednesday, June 17.
