Narrative:
On June 10, 2015, at about 7:25 a.m., Thousand Oaks deputies responded to Los Robles Hospital Emergency Room regarding a stabbing victim. The victim reported at around 5:30 a.m. he was asleep in the backyard of his residence. The suspect, Anthony Garcia, confronted him regarding the theft of his cell phone. The victim denied the theft and Garcia threatened to kill him. Following the threat, Garcia stabbed the victim multiple times and fled the scene. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was ultimately discharged from the hospital.
On June 11, 2015, Garcia was arrested in Thousand Oaks on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats. He was booked at the Ventura County Sheriff’s Pre-Trial Detention Facility and his bail was set at $60,000.00 dollars. The suspect is scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court on Monday, June 15, 2015, for his arraignment.
