OSBI Continues Investigation into Boise City Murder After Two Years, Reward Offered

Two years ago, 77-year-old Charles Nieman and his wife stopped at the Loaf-‘n-Jug convenience store in Boise City to get gas. Nieman was outside his vehicle when a Hispanic male walked up to him and demanded his wallet. Nieman, who was hard of hearing, turned to his wife and asked her what the man said. Moments later, the suspect shot Nieman in the head. The suspect ran from the area. Nieman was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The Boise City Police Department requested OSBI assistance with the case. Numerous leads were run by agents and local law enforcement, but the suspect has not been identified. Today, on the second year anniversary of this case, the OSBI is offering up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the man who killed Mr. Nieman. Nieman would have celebrated his 55 wedding anniversary later this month with his wife Lois. He is also survived by three children and six grandchildren. If you have any information, please contact the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.
