Narrative:
On Monday, June 8, 2015, at approximately 5:55PM, a motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Via Las Brisas at Via Rio in the Dos Vientos area. An Infiniti was traveling eastbound on Via Las Brisas approaching the intersection at Via Rio, negotiating a left turn onto Via Rio. While passing through the intersection, the motorcycle struck the rear passenger side of the Infiniti.

The motorcyclist, Matthew Ryan Taylor, sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to Los Robles Hospital for treatment, where he remains in critical condition. The driver of the Infiniti, Mark Alan Zinderman, was not injured.

The cause of the collision is currently under investigation. Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call the Thousand Oaks Police Department’s Traffic Bureau sat (805) 494-8271.

As summer approaches there are many new drivers on the road. The Thousand Oaks Police Department would like to remind drivers to obey all rules of the road, drive carefully and arrive home safely.
