SUMMARY:
UPDATE – Tuesday, June 9, 2015
On June 7, 2015 Oliver Pareece Jones called his mother and said he was in Mazatlán, Mexico and wanted her to come pick him up. The family arrived in Mexico, located Oliver, and drove him across the border into El Paso, Texas for medical treatment at a U.S hospital. While crossing the US Border into New Mexico on Sunday June 7, 2015, Oliver was detained and searched by Border Patrol due to his missing person status. They contacted the Luna County Sheriff’s Office to respond and remove Oliver from the Missing Persons System. Sgt. Garcia from the Luna County Sheriff’s Office confirmed it was him verifying his Colorado State Identification Card.

On Monday, June 8, 2015, Detective Ixco from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department contacted Sergeant Garcia from the Luna County Sheriff’s Department and was informed that Oliver Jones looked healthy, clean and decently dressed. However, Oliver told authorities he was beat up in Mazatlán and despite his amnesia, knew he had been missing for an exact number of 64 days.
*****
On Wednesday, April 8, 2015, family members of Oliver Pareece Jones reported him missing and stated he was last seen with his cousin Travis Jones on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Claim Jumper Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga. Oliver and his cousin Travis Jones traveled to Southern California from Las Vegas to attend a business meeting in San Francisco but somehow ended up at a strip club in the West Hollywood area. Oliver apparently was assaulted at the club and lost his personal belongings. Oliver and his cousin Travis traveled through Rancho Cucamonga while enroute back to Las Vegas. They stopped to eat at the Claim Jumper Restaurant near the Walmart in Rancho Cucamonga. After eating Oliver refused to get into the vehicle with his cousin Travis and walked off.

On Sunday April 5, 2015 Oliver borrowed an unknown persons’ cell phone and called his sister Leah Madrid in El Paso, Texas and asked her to come and get him without giving her specific details where to meet him. Madrid drove to Rancho Cucamonga, California and starting looking for Oliver. Madrid went back to the Walmart, showed local transients and Security Officers Oliver’s photo, and they told her they had seen him and that he was asked to leave the property after asking for money for a bus ticket.

On Thursday April 9, 2015 Madrid filed a missing persons report with the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department and Oliver’s information had been placed in the NCIC system as a missing person. Deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department, Rancho Cucamonga K9 Unit, and Sheriff’s Aviation spent several days following all potential leads or sightings of Oliver Pareece Jones. With no additional information coming in, the search efforts stopped on 4/17/2015.
