Community Advisory - Suspicious Activity

The Glendale Police Department became aware that members of the community have been sharing information on social media platforms regarding similar incidents of two women approaching children and making inappropriate statements. It appears in some of the incidents, the children were accompanied by adults. Though there are several incidents shared on social media, the police department has only received two reported incidents which do not appear to be criminal in nature.

The females are described as one being possibly heavy set with brown curly hair and the other in her 20’s. The vehicle is described as an older model, black four door sedan.

Detectives from Glendale Police Department are continuing to investigate the two reported incidents and are monitoring the information that is being shared on social media. They are requesting residents to contact the police department with any additional information. According to Sgt. Krikorian from the Glendale Police Department, the incidents are still under investigation and it is unsure if they are pranks or criminal in nature. “While we appreciate our residents are looking out for one another and sharing information, we ask that you continue to report suspicious activity to the police department so that we can make a determination if in fact their conduct is criminal in nature,” said Sgt. Krikorian.

The Glendale Police Department would like to remind members of the community to be extra vigilant with their children and report any suspicious activity by calling 9-1-1.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Glendale Police Department at 818-548-4911.
