On May 27, 2015 at 6:02 P.M. Pomona Police Officers responded to the area of Ninth St. and Waters Ave. regarding a report of a traffic accident involving a pedestrian. Responding officers found a single vehicle involved in a collision with a small child. The female driver of the van stopped and remained at the location and is cooperating with the investigation. The child was airlifted to County USC Hospital but did not survive his injuries.
The collision is currently under investigation by the Pomona Police Department's Major Accident Investigations Team and the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office.
