Fatal traffic collision on Rancho Road west of US HWY 395 
DATE/TIME: May 26, 2015, at about 6:40 a.m.
INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Rancho Road west of US HWY 395.
SUSPECT(S): Alexia Martinez, 21 years of age, resident of Adelanto.
VICTIM(S): Hispanic Male 59 years of age, resident of Adelanto. Pending next of kin notification.
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at about 6:40 a.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to a traffic collision on Rancho Road between Jonathan Street and US HWY 395. Upon arrival, deputies were advised that the rider of a Motorcycle was traveling west on Rancho Road when he was struck by a passenger vehicle. The passenger vehicle was traveling east in the westbound lanes of traffic.
The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle. San Bernardino County Fire Department and American Medical Resopnse arrived on scene and attempted to recesitate the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the location.
Alexia Martinez, the driver of the passenger vehicle, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. Martinez is in stable condition.
The City of Adelanto and Region II Major Accident Investigation Team responded to the location and is handling the investigation. Any witnesses to this collision are urged to contact Deputy Brett Haynes of the Victor Valley Station.
At this time, it does not appear that alcohol is a contributing factor in this collision.
The motorcyclist name is being withheld pending notificaiton to next of kin.
