HMPD Officers arrest man for Fraud 
On Wednesday, May 6, 2015 Hope Mills Police Detectives discovered that a stolen Murray Lawnmower had been pawned on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at National Pawn which is located on North Main Street in Hope Mills. Further investigation revealed Jonathan Ryan Jones, 29, of the 5900 block of Hunting Ridge Road, Hope Mills was the suspect in that crime. On Saturday, May 23, 2015 Mr. Jones was arrested by Hope Mills Police Officers on warrants for the offense that occurred on May 2, 2015 as well as on outstanding warrants for a crime involving Mr. Jones in which he exchanged stolen property for a refund at Walmart in 2013. Mr. Jones was transported to the Cumberland County Detention Center where he was jailed under a $4000.00 bond for the following charges:
2 counts of Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretense
1 count of Felony Possession of Stolen Goods
