On May 20th 2015 at 1:35 am, Morgan Hill Police responded to the Morgan Hill Tavern located at 17365 Monterey Rd. to investigate a report of a male subject bleeding from the head. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male on the ground with major head trauma. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. During the investigation it was determined 32 year old Joseph Haley out of San Jose was in a physical altercation with the victim which led to the victim’s death. Suspect Haley was taken into custody and booked in the Santa Clara County Jail for homicide.
