Saugus, Zone 4, Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the week of 05/11/15 to 05/17/15.

There was one part 1 crime reported last week in Zone 4.

A residential burglary was reported from the 22800 block of Tamarack Lane. The suspect was able to enter the house through the unlocked side garage door. Once inside the garage the suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and stole an iPad, MacBook and a leather brief case.  The items were later found abandoned on a street near the location.

It is very important to lock all of your doors and windows when you leave your house.  Thieves routinely check for open doors and windows to make easy entry to your home.  It is also very important to be aware of what’s going on in your neighborhood.  If something doesn’t look right such as a suspicious vehicle parked in the area, report it to us immediately. A great way to stay connected to what’s going on in your neighborhood is by using nextdoor.com. This site helps neighbors stay connected with the latest information about what’s going on in their neighborhoods.
