HMPD Officers arrest woman for Larceny and Resisting Arrest

On Sunday 5/17/2015, at approximately 11:30pm, Hope Mills Police Officers responded to the Kangaroo Station located at 6454 Rockfish Road in reference to a larceny in progress. Upon arrival, Officers were told that the suspect, later identified as Ashley Marie Fisher, 23, of the 2600 block of John Smith Road, Fayetteville, was locked in the bathroom with the stolen property. Officers obtained the bathroom key from the clerk and then made contact with Ms. Fisher. When Officers attempted to arrest Ms. Fisher, she began to struggle with them as she was being handcuffed. Officers were eventually able to handcuff Ms. Fisher and place her in a patrol car for transport to the Cumberland County Detention Center. While en-route to the detention center, Ms. Fisher kicked the rear window out of the car she was being transported in. Ms. Fisher was placed in additional restraints and, was transported to the detention center without further incident. Ms. Fisher was jailed under a $10,000.00 bond for the following charges:

1 count of Misdemeanor Injury to Property
1 count of Misdemeanor Resisting a Public Officer
1 count of Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
