The City of Pasadena reminds the public about the following road closures and other event information for the Amgen Tour of California on Sunday, May 17. The final stage of the Amgen Tour will depart LA Live at 9:15 am and is expected to enter Pasadena city limits by 10:15 am. About 15,000 spectators are expected to cheer on the final stage of America’s largest and most prestigious professional cycling race with its exciting finish at the Rose Bowl stadium.

On event day only from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm, the public telephone number to call with day-of-event questions about street closures, parking, and general event information is: (626) 397-4141.

Road Closures & Event Times

America’s greatest cycling race will enter Pasadena via Colorado Boulevard at Figueroa, continue eastbound across the historic Colorado Street Bridge, north on Orange Grove, west on Holly Street, south on Arroyo Drive, north on Arroyo Boulevard and will complete seven full laps around the Rose Bowl Loop before reaching the finish line on West Drive.

In preparation for the arrival of the Amgen Tour of California city streets will close to vehicular traffic from approximately 9:45 am – 10:30 am. Access will be maintained up until and as soon after the race passes. The Rose Bowl loop will close to all traffic, including pedestrians and vehicles, from approximately 9:30 am – 12:30 pm. The Rose Bowl loop will re-open as soon as possible following the final lap of the race.

Event Day Detours

To circumvent event day closures, motorists are encouraged to look at the online maps for detailed detour routes. Primary detour routes include 210 freeway to the North, Orange Grove to the East, La Loma Road to the South, and Linda Vista/Avenue 64 to the West.

Gold Line & Bike Travel Options

Spectators and participants are encouraged to ride their bikes or travel to the Rose Bowl using alternate transportation. There will be a bike parking zone in Lot K of the Rose Bowl along West Drive. The Memorial Park Gold Line station is conveniently located within 1 mile of the Rose Bowl Stadium.

Parking Information & Vehicle Towing Along Route

The Amgen Tour route will be posted with No Parking signs. Please observe all on-street parking restrictions closely, noting all time restrictions. Vehicles that are parked on the course during the restricted times will be towed and regular storage/impound charges will apply.
