On Tuesday, May 12, 2015, deputies and narcotics detectives assigned to Industry Sheriff's Station conducted a search warrant in the city of Industry; discovering and seizing a large marijuana grow within a warehouse. Deputies arrived at a warehouse on the 18000 block of Railroad Street, Industry, along with members from the Los Angeles County Fire Department in response to fire alarm call for service.
Upon arrival, deputies smelled the overwhelming odor of fresh marijuana and saw various items used in its cultivation; lights, chemicals, etc. A search warrant was obtained and deputies later discovered three separate rooms containing over 300 plants in various stages of maturity with an approximate street value of over 1.2 million dollars. The investigation is on-going. Currently, deputies have arrested an Asian male in his late 40's, associated with the indoor grow. His name is being withheld pending further investigation.
