Saugus, Zone 4, Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the week of 05/04/15 to 05/10/15.
A residential burglary occurred near the 20600 block of Sue Drive. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked garage. The suspect ransacked the victim’s home and stole jewelry.
There was a commercial burglary reported from a business near the 28200 block of Bouquet Canyon Road. The suspect shattered the front glass door to the location. The suspect stole a safe containing $900 in US currency.
A Vehicle burglary was reported near the 21900 block of Lynette Lane. There was no sign of forced entry to the victim’s vehicle. The suspect stole a brown purse containing the victims CDL and a “Tiffany” necklace.
There was a vehicle burglary reported from the 26900 block of Avenita Terraza. The suspect shattered the victims front passenger window to gain entry to the vehicle. The suspect stole a pair of blue “Beats” headphones.
A petty theft was reported from the shopping center near the 23850 block of Copperhill Drive. The suspect entered the store selected 6 containers of “Tide” detergent and attempted to leave the location without paying for the items. He was detained by loss prevention and later arrested by deputies.
Please remember to lock your car doors at night. There have been several reports of thieves checking car doors to see if there open. Also, remove any visible items that would be attractive to thieves such as iPads, cell phones and purses.
