May 4th

Theft- 6700 Block of Potrero Avenue
At 2206 hours, an officer responded to a report of a theft of a package. The victim arrived home to find a package on her door step. She went inside and when she returned later in the evening to retrieve the package it was missing.

Warrant Arrest- San Pablo Avenue and Barrett Avenue
At 0001 hours, an off duty El Cerrito Police Officer driving in the area noticed a wanted male subject walking on San Pablo Avenue. Officers responded to the area and arrested the 51 year old man from Richmond for an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with his order of probation. An officer booked the man and transported him to county jail in Martinez.

May 5th

Vehicle Theft- 700 Block of Norvell St.
An unknown suspect stole a 1996 Nissan Maxima on 05/04 at 1800 hours and 05/05 at 0745 hours.

Poss. of Controlled Substance and Burglary Tools- San Pablo Ave. at Cutting Blvd.
At 1251 hours, an officer arrested a 22 year-old female from Richmond for being in possession of methamphetamine, and a 25 year-old man from Richmond for being in possession of burglary tools. The man was also found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Both subjects were booked at the ECPD and upon the completion of booking the male was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility and the female was released with a citation.

Public Intoxication- BART path and Portola Drive
At 0223 hours, an officer conducting a security check along the BART path discovered a heavily intoxicated male subject trying to walk along the path. The 21 year old man from Albany was unable to stand on his own and he thought he was in San Francisco. The officer took the man into custody and transported him to the county jail in Martinez.

Located Missing Person- San Pablo Avenue and Bayview Avenue
At 0245 hours, the San Pablo Police Department broadcasted a BOLO (Be on the Lookout) for an at risk missing adult person. The officer described the person and the vehicle they were driving. At 0441 hours, an alert El Cerrito Police Officer noticed the vehicle and contacted the driver. The officer checked on the driver’s welfare and determined that she was not in danger. The officer contacted the family members and advised them that their family member was safe.

May 6th

Grand Theft- 5300 Block of School St.
Between 05/05 at 1440 hours and 05/06 at 0550 hours, an unknown suspect stole 4 wheels off a 2013 Dodge Challenger.

Warrant Arrest- San Pablo Avenue and Blake Street
At 0122 hours, an officer contacted two bicyclists and arrested one of them, a 35 year old transient man, for an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with his order of probation. The officer booked the man and transported him to county jail in Martinez.

May 7th

Stolen Vehicle and Recovered Vehicle- Denny's 11344 San Pablo Avenue
At 1821 hours, an officer responded to Denny's for a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim’s Ford Crown Victoria was stolen between 1730 and 1820 hours from the parking lot of the restaurant. The vehicle was later found abandoned in the middle of Appian Way in Pinole at 2350 hours.

Driving Under the Influence- San Pablo Avenue and Nevin Avenue
At 2305 hours, a n officerconducted a traffic stop and arrested the 51 year old driver from Pittsburg for DUI. The officer booked the man at the El Cerrito Police Department and then released him with a citation to a sober friend.

Driving Under the Influence- Carlson Boulevard and Central Avenue
At 0006 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the 21 year old female driver from Los Angeles for DUI. The officer booked the woman at the El Cerrito Police Department and then released her with a citation to a sober friend.
