Stevenson Ranch: Zone 3, Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the week of 04/27/15 to 05/03/15.

Hello Stevenson Ranch.  My name is Deputy Kevin Duxbury, and I will be your new Zone 3 leader.  Just a little about myself:  I’ve been with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for fifteen years, and have been patrolling the Santa Clarita Valley for ten years.  I’ve spent about seven of those years working the night shift from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.  I’m adjusting well to my new hours and enjoy seeing the sun again.  I live locally, and I love this valley.  I’m looking forward to working with and in your zone.  Please feel free to contact me anytime either by e-mail or phone which are listed below.  Take care!

Tip for the week:  With the warmer weather approaching, people are riding their bicycles more.  Take care to secure your bike properly with a quality lock, even if you are just running into the local coffee shop for a quick drink.  When at home, keep your bicycle in the garage or indoors if possible.  It only takes a second for someone to steal an unsecured bicycle, and most of us cannot outrun a person riding away on our own bike.
