On April 15, 2015 at 1:05 PM, the Central Marin Police Authority received a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred at the Rite Aid Pharmacy at the Corte Madera Town Center. A witness reported a subject, armed with what appeared to be a black handgun, entered the area behind the pharmacy counter, and took prescription narcotic medications.
On Tuesday, April 21st, detectives from the Central Marin Police Authority served a search warrant at a Mill Valley address in connection with the Rite Aid Pharmacy robbery.
CMPA detectives developed information that Kurt Allsman used his vehicle in the commission of the robbery, and they obtained a search warrant for his residence and vehicle. Allsman can be seen on video waiting for the gunman to complete the robbery. The gunman then enters the passenger side of Allsman’s vehicle and Allsman is seen speeding away. Allsman was arrested in connection with the robbery, and the stolen pills were recovered.
CMPA detectives have developed a person of interest for the actual gunman and are waiting for DNA confirmation.
