Here’s a look back at the crimes reported in the Newhall area last week
Between Wednesday the 1st, and Thursday the 9th, an attempt residential burglary occurred in the 23600 block of Newhall Avenue. A door was damaged but entry was not made.
On Monday the 6th at 1:45 a.m., two adult males broke into a storage building near Newhall Avenue and 15th Street and stole soda’s and snacks. The males were seen on surveillance video and detectives are working on identifying them.
On Saturday the 11th, at 10:13 a.m., an adult male was seen on surveillance video entering the back door of a business in the 22900 block of Lyons Avenue. The male hid from employees then entered the office of the store. He was seen looking through drawers in the office, before he fled the location with several rolls of quarters.
Between Tuesday the 7th at 6:00 p.m., and Thursday the 8th at 8:00 a.m., a “Toyota” pick-up was stolen from the 24200 block of Main Street. The truck was recovered by Newhall CHP on Friday the 10th.
Between October 2014 and Wednesday the 8th, batteries were stolen from a cable box storage container in the 23300 block of Calgrove Boulevard.
There were three narcotic related arrests in the Newhall area last week, two domestic violence arrests, and one arrest for driving under the influence.
