Castaic and Val Verde, Zone 2, Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for week of 4/06/2014-4/12/2015.

The following crime were reported in Zone 2, Castaic/Val Verde.

An assault was reported from the 31000 block of San Martinez.  Responding deputies arrested an adult male resulting from a domestic dispute.      

A theft from a vehicle was reported from the 28000 block of Lincoln Avenue.  A “Victoria Knox” set of cooking knives, “JL” bluetooth speaker and a gray “Dickie’s” jacket were taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence.  The items were values around $1000.    

A theft from a vehicle was reported from 29000 block of Rangewood Road.  The victim had a bag containing his wallet, social security card and driver’s license taken from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in his driveway.    

A grand theft was reported from the 27000 block of Wakefield Drive.  The victim reported a  “white gold” ring and orange “Mikael Kors” purse stolen from her unlocked vehicle while parked in her driveway.  The items were valued at $2100.        

Please remember to never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle, close and lock your doors.  Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity.  If you see any suspicious activity, call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 or
