On April 10, 2015 at 2207 hours, ECPD was dispatched to a report of shots fired in the 8300 block of Kent Court. Upon arrival they were told by a resident that her daughter, had been shot at by an ex-boyfriend. The information they received was that as the victim was in her car in the court, another car pulled in front of her, two of its four occupants got out and started shooting at her. The victim drove away and the suspects got back in their vehicle and fled towards Contra Costa Drive.

ECPD Officers and Detectives investigated and on April 15, 2015 obtained arrest warrants for four suspects, believed to be the occupants of the suspect vehicle.

In the early hours of April 16, 2015 one of the wanted persons arrived at a local hospital with one gunshot wound. RPD contacted the ECPD once they realized that ECPD was investigating the person for being involved in the shooting. After being medically evaluated, that person was arrested.

Subsequent investigation led the ECPD to detain and arrest the other three wanted persons at their Richmond home. One firearm was seized in the process. It will be analyzed by the Contra Costa County Crime Lab.

The persons were all arrested, based on warrants with a bail of $2,150,000 for the listed charges. They were booked into the County Jail.

The Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office will review the case for prosecution. The ECPD thanks the RPD for its assistance with the investigation.
