The North Aurora Police Department would like to alert you to some recent property crime that has occurred on the Village’s east side.

In the past week, officers have taken reports of vehicle burglaries and a vehicle theft.  Most cases involved either unlocked doors and/or keys left in vehicle.

• 500 blk of Doral Ln. Attempted Burglary to Motor Vehicle  - Locked doors but door was not latched all the way closed – Alarm set off
• 500 blk of Doral Ln. Attempted Burglary to Motor Vehicle  - Unlocked car door
• 200 blk of Ridge Rd Attempted Burglary to Motor Vehicle,  Burglary to Motor Vehicle, and Attempted Vehicle Theft – One unlocked car found keys to other car that was locked, entered that car and backed it up.
• 300 blk of Long Ave. Motor Vehicle Theft and Theft from Motor Vehicle – Unlocked truck w/keys in truck. Truck stolen with tools in back (worth lots of $)

The North Aurora Police Department encourages you to keep your vehicles inside a locked garage.  If you must keep your vehicle outside, be sure to lock the doors, remove the keys, and remove any valuables, especially those that are visible.
