Narrative:
A Ventura County Jail inmate attacked a deputy sheriff at the Todd Road Jail during morning court movement operations. The inmate is currently in custody on charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and theft.
On 04/13/15, a female deputy was in the process of conducting a pat down search of inmate Keisha Arceneaux, a standard procedure when preparing inmates being transported to court proceedings. During the search, Arceneaux became combative and a physical altercation ensued. The deputy sustained minor injuries to her facial and neck area.
Arceneaux was arrested for Penal Code section 69, obstructing or resisting an executive officer in the performance of their duties, and Penal Code section 243(b), battery on a peace officer. Her bail is set at $20,000.00.
