Road Closures Expected This Weekend for Rutgers Unite Half Marathon

A number of local area roadways will be closed on April 12 due to the United Half Marathon taking place at Rutgers University–New Brunswick.

No parking will be permitted on College Avenue between the entrance to Buccleuch Park and Seminary Place beginning at 4 a.m. on Sunday, April 12.

No parking is permitted on Seminary Place beginning at 4 a.m. on Saturday. All vehicles parked in violation are subject to ticket and tow at owner’s expense.

All roads for the marathon will be closed at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 12.

Access to the College Avenue Campus: Hamilton Street, George Street and Easton Avenue will remain open and accessible for the duration of the event. The route will encompass the George Street Extension, College Avenue between Buccleuch Park and Hamilton Street. As a result all side streets are subject to closure and detour.

All roads on the College Avenue Campus with the exception of Seminary Place will reopen at approximately 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Seminary Place will reopen at approximately 3 p.m. that afternoon.
