With the severe weather that is possible with thunderstorms this afternoon & evening, we would like to urge residents to stay informed about severe weather.

The Village operates several outdoor warning sirens, but keep in mind that these are intended to warn people who are outdoors.  Do not expect to hear them when you're indoors or sleeping.  Warning sirens are tested on the first Tuesday of every month at 10:00 a.m.

We would also recommend a free app for your mobile device called "Tornado" by the American Red Cross, available in the Apple App Store and on Google Play.  The app features real time tornado safety tools, including audible tornado warnings, even when the app is not running.
